Bought these for pitching machine use - seem to be very durable with nice flat seams. But they really "whang" off aluminum bats - even my 10 year old noticed. Will probably buy Rawlings from now on - much "softer" feel and sound, while still using flat seams and Kevlar stitching. Afraid these Pearl balls will dent my good bats!

Pearls do much better than ordinary balls, but after a few uses begin to feel like sandpaper. I'll be surprised if they hold up for a year as the guarantee says. I use them about once a week.
