Excellent coaches bat for baseball practice. I selected the natural wood finish - which is really nice. The finish is very smooth, though, so I purchased grip tape for the handle and for the sweet spot on the bat. This really worked well to contact the ball better and gave me more control when hitting to the kids.

This bat is very light and well balanced making it exceptionally easy to use for hitting fly balls and grounders. Because of its very thin handle, though, it is more susceptible to breaking than other fungo bats.

I used the fungo for a few practices without a problem. It broke on one ball that caught the end of the bat. The fungo literally exploded in my hands.
